I always say that there is not much more you need to know about me other than I love what I do. For me, photography isn’t just a job or hobby - it is a lifestyle. I eat, drink, and sleep photography. When I was asked to describe my work, I was quoted in the Greenwich Times saying, "I really have a failed painters view." I continued to explain that, as an adult, my camera became the artistic outlet that I had enjoyed as a child. Growing up, my kinesthetic skills didn't develop to portray my perspective. The camera became the perfect tool and I have never put it down since. I decided to major in Photography for a Bachelor of Fine Arts at SUNY Purchase where I am presently a Junior. My experience in photography has taken me through several capture mediums including b/w negative films, medium format negative films, slide films, and digital. I started Paul McDermott Photography in 2007 both offering photography services and selling my fine art pieces. It has been a great year of growth and I am looking forward to the years to come with you all as my clients.
